CDSWCC21

I finally got around to my card for the weekend color challenge at CDS. It'a a boy card with dark pink, yellow and orange. I think it's cool, since my youngest just bought a yellow 4 wheeler. The set is from Clear Dollar Stamps, and the paper background was precut that way. Easy shmeezy..

It's getting close to Father's Day, so I made up this card for my dad. I used the Got Tractor set from Clear Dollar Stamps. I will enter this card for a chance to be the June Guest Design Team member. I was excited to use my heat emboss tool to give the white in this card a distressed, old look. I held it over the paper to "brown" it a little. (I'm wondering if I could make smores with that thing!!) The striped paper is Basic Grey Granola. The background that has the old paper look is a paper bag that I got when i bought goodies at a boutique. Cut it up and reusing it. I love the brads that look like pearl shirt snaps, which my dad has always worn. Enjoy being with your dad or remembering him on Father's Day.

CDSWCC20

I am not quite done with field work. But we are getting close. It feels like forever since I have done a challenge. I have been taking lots of pictures, with all the activity. Anyway, jumped right in with the Clear Dollar Stamp Challenge over at PCP , my favorite challenge. Mostly because I love to see what their great design team is up to. Cassie is hosting this week, I love these colors together.
My son's friend lost his grandpa, and this card is for the baseball team to sign. They are going as a team to the visitation. That's the thing about sports, it teaches alot about beinging a good person. My son also feels for others whose grandparents are ill, as his Grandpa is fighting cancer.
Wow this got sad. anyway. heads up. there's still more beans to plant out there, and this farmgirl has got to get back at it. I used Basic Grey Granola paper for this , and the sentiments from Clear Dollar Stamps of course. The inside has the sentiment " Hoping that your Sorrow will soon be replaced with warm memories."

Happy Mother's Day! I'm enjoying some down time. Still in sweats. I made this for the Clear Dollar Stamps weekend Color Challenge. Pink, green and red. I used the cuttlebug to emboss the background. Stitiched the edges. Used the set, Charliene April Showers. I love the duckie. The background is Basic grey, Urban Prairie. Do you know they are designing fabric. (My mom is a fantastic quilter. I used to quilt but a cowgirl can only have one extra hobby.)
I went for seed yesterday, didn't want to go, but guess what happened? I found a new scrapbooking store in Albert Lea Minnesota, called Scrappin On The Go. run by Tami Marti. I love scrappers they are so nice everywhere. wish I could scrap none stop everyday. Except to ride horse.. ahhh dreaming..

Scrappy Sunday Challenge

Do you know what?ripping the edge of paper is NOT something I normally do. but here it works. This is for a challenge over at PCP called the Scrappy Sunday Challenge. This challenge gets my juices flowing to create some pages for the book. Here Tuff is working on his "challenge," a 40 year old mustang. He has welded over $600 of new metal into his car already. We are really proud of his skills. And yup, guess this hobby stuff in this family is catchy!

OCC Challenge

Hi This is one of the many Graduation cards I'm whipping up. I used the sketch over at Our Creative Corner. I love coloring in this Warrior Head, He's our mascot. I cuttlebugged the red piece, and used some brads in the corner. The stamp is from Cowtown Stamps.

I made this up tonight. Still on my quest to scrapbook, too. I got to use some of the new goodies from Hobby Lobby. Used the same idea from the card yesterday, with the embossed silver look. ( couldn't waste all the beautiful embossedness, so underneth this picture i cut out a circle for another use!) I am operating my scrapping away from home with maybe 10% of my stuff. It's kinda freeing to know Hey that's it. quit looking for all my supplies and just SCRAP.
Products used: thickers (summer word) by American Craft, background paper basic grey, urban prairie, flowers from Petaloo, and the rest from stash. BTW this is for the Scrappy Sunday Challenge, and I think from the last week of April. Jen Tapler hosts it.

Hobby Lobby Heaven

I got caught up, and since I'm only 25 minutes from Hobby Lobby at this farm, i snuck away. tip toe tip toe, top secret mission....(sometimes you gotta turn off the cell phone)..... I hit the mother load. All the charms in the jewelry area were 50 % off. Also in that area are rinestones, which is why I really went in. To fix my western purse that lost some bling. Really, I should post a picture of all I bought. Got carried away! And one of the coolest things was these totes in red animal print to match my car, for $4.00. Love it. It's a good thing this store is 100 miles from me normally, because I can't control myself there.

Going out to mow lawn. bfn cowgirls!(bye for now)
I just looked to the right, Shawne from the CDS challenge at Paper Craft Planet is spotlighting my card!! YeeHaw, that's an honor, and from a great artist. Thanks Shawne.
Now really, computer sleep, got to mow, or maybe fence it in so I have more time to stamp!! and the horses would be REALLY close to the house, better to look at to color. hehehe

My absolute favorite part of this card was the idea to try and make the background look like engraved silver. I embossed the background, and then used silver embossing powder and the heat gun to add another layer of silver. I would like to have redone the coloring on the baby charlie, but I'm planting corn this week and NEED to go to bed before the long week ahead. I am so busy this time of year. I hauled beans to the river all last week in the semi, and today worked ground. Gotta pay for the stamping somehow! Well off to bed. BTW. my time is off by 2 hours, It's 10:15 here, Iowa time. When it rains I gotta fix that.
